Three young friends navigate life after high school in a tough low income Neighborhood of Hartford, CT. Jamal is far from the stereotypical “black dude” from the hood despite being born and raised there. His best friend Dougie, a high school dropout is insecure, volatile and soon to be a father with his true love and “ride or die” white suburban girlfriend harmony. Jamal makes a controversial decision in his attempt to achieve his dream of a college degree. Will he succeed and break the generational curse or will he come a judicial statistic?
